Explore a labyrinth of caves on 2 levels over 250m˛ to discover spectacular and colourful natural crystals, ancient fossils, and rare delicate minerals. You will be given a miners helmet and your adventure begins!

Entering at the ‘Calcite Cavern’ where Crystals glitter to form a star like galaxy, you are invited to touch everything within reach. There are over 600 crystals and fossils to see, so relax and allow yourself about an hour to explore this wondrous world which combines fantasy with natures creations.

 

Hundreds of little spotlights gleam in the darkness and show you the way. You can see and touch the 80 million year old amazing water agate, and see the water move inside it, and have your photo taken sitting on the impressive 525 kg boulder of Rose Quartz.

The walk-in fluorescent grotto the 'Magic Temple' is Australias largest and most spectacular collection of fluorescent minerals.

As you enter the fairytale chamber you will be in awe of the largest selenite crystals in the world from 'The Cave of Swords' in Mexico

 

 

You will resurface at FASCINATING FACETS
a combination of a gallery, jewellery store and rockshop...

The large range of Jewellery includes crystals in silver, Navajo American Indian jewellery, local gold nugget pendants and 9ct gold jewellery with opals or gemstones. The special gemstone section is very extensive, where locals and tourists alike appreciate that the prices are true wholesale prices, North Queenslands own Blue Topaz is amongst the most wanted.

What began with one mans passion is now Australia’s most spectacular mineralogical collection, attracting more than 25,000 visitors annually.

The mineralogical world is as much a part of nature as the rainforest and the reef, and René Boissevain, and his wife Nelleke would like to share the beauty of this spectacular collection that they have travelled the world to collect since 1963.
