· Watch this space!
" René is off on a big trip to South America
to touch base with his contacts in the Amethyst mines,
as well as to Mexico where we get all our "Crack
a Geode" geodes from. He'll be away for about
three weeks and although this is not supposed to be a buying trip,
we're sure that if he sees anything a bit special, he won't be
able to resist.
" We have started work on an extension to our main web
site, for shopping. A huge task because we want this to be
something really special. We want to be able to offer a really
good range of our unique and exclusive products to people
throughout the world. The range will include everything from
jewellery, to mineral specimens to right through to gemstone
sculptures, and everything at really good prices. Stay tuned.
" Our big buying trip to the Tucson Gem Show
in the USA back in February was a great success and we
brought back tons of new, unique and exciting things for The Fascinating
Facets Gift Shop, as well as some new specimens that
went into The Caves. Some of the new stock, particularly
the exquisite Moldavite jewellery (click
here to download the pdf.info sheet on Moldavite) -sold so
well that we have had to re-order more. We are continually amazed
at how well our visitors appreciate seeing really different items
that they have never seen elsewhere.
" Our new Polar Jade jewellery has been really well
received. Once again our visitors are telling us that they have
never seen this before. We buy this direct from the mining
people in British Columbia in Canada, one of only two
mines in the world for this type of Jade. The mine is right
up north near the arctic circle and the weather there is
so severe tat they can only work the mine for a couple of months
of the year, as the rest of the time it is covered with snow and
ice. That's why it's called "Polar" Jade!
